With Afterpay you can receive all the party supplies and decorations you need now and pay for them over six weekly automatic payments, all interest free. We hope this will help make budgeting for your big day just a little bit easier!

How to pay by Afterpay

1) Add items to your cart and checkout as normal.

2) Select "Pay by Afterpay" under payment options and click "Complete Order".

3) You will then be redirected to Afterpay's website where you can log in or sign up to complete your order in seconds.

4) Choose your desired payment day, view your payment schedule and select pay now.

5) You're done, your items will be on their way. Payments will be taken each week automatically.

Please note that there is no minimum spend, and any sale items can be included in your purchase.

Afterpay FAQ

How does Afterpay work?

Afterpay offers you a simple interest free payment plan that lets you secure your purchase today and pay for it in 4 equal payments, once a fortnight for 6 weeks.

Afterpay performs a credit check to obtain a credit score on all new users upon registration. Once your credit score has been confirmed and your account has been verified, Afterpay assigns your Afterpay limit and you can begin shopping immediately.

The first payment equal to one quarter of the purchase price occurs once your order is completed. The remaining 3 payments are processed each fortnight on the day of the original purchase from your nominated card. No further action is required and all account information including a payment schedule can be viewed, at any time, through your Afterpay account.

Once you select Pay by Afterpay at checkout and complete your purchase, The Party Room ships any products directly to you at the delivery address you have requested.

Can you give an example of how my payments will work?

If your total purchase price was $300 and your order was placed on 1st June your Afterpay payment schedule would be as follows:

• Instalment 1 - $75 due on 1 June (today)
• Instalment 2 - $75 due on 15 June
• Instalment 3 - $75 due on 30 June
• Instalment 4 - $75 due on 14 July

Total payments made = $300

How much does Afterpay cost?

Afterpay doesn't charge any interest or upfront fees.

If you miss a payment you will be notified immediately. A late payment fee of $10 may be charged in respect of each payment you fail to make on time.

When will my first Afterpay payment be taken?

You will always pay the first instalment at the time you place your order. The first instalment will be 1/4 of the total purchase price.

Who can use Afterpay?

Afterpay is available for New Zealand residents who are 18 years old or over.

Before you can use Afterpay you need to provide your full name, residential address, email address and your mobile number for the credit check/verification. You will also need your Visa Debit or Credit Card details so that Afterpay can deduct the amounts in connection with your purchase.
